9/8/9=8

Weird title, I know. I guess it was just interesting to me that on 9/8/09, my oldest little darling turned 8 years old. It seems like yesterday (I know, so cliche to say) that she was 8 months old instead. I can remember so many things about her birth, babyhood, toddlerhood, etc, and now it pains me to truly think about her growing up. Though I know each age has profound moments of wonder and delight, things that go along with a child growing up make me long for the ease of her being little again.

So smart, she reads like a pro and is already doing more math than I know about. She's loving things like lava and hermit crabs and talking about the girl in her class who is such a "chatterbox." She loves Pizza Friday and strawberries in a thermos and playing her DS. She has the best sense of humor and is so full of life. She anticipates the "funnies" from every Sunday paper and loves any new joke practicing it until she can repeat it herself. Last night she even condensed the latest one I told her because it was "simply too long."

This little one I bore a mere 8 years ago is turning into such a beautiful young woman. I love you, Trinity...please stay with me 88 more!

Attending the craft/dress up/dance slumber party were Cinderella, ballerina girl, supergirl, cheerleader, 50's poodle skirt girl, snow white, fancy dress girls, and a random diva.

Happy, happy belated birthday sweet Trinity! My how you have grown. It looks like you had a wonderful time celebrating with your friends.

And Matt - those are some moves. :)
