As we overlooked the bay of Acapulco, she said "I will" and "I do." It was 10 years ago and she still is... still is taking me as her husband, loving me and forsaking all others. She is still giving me her best even in the worst, loving me richly even when she doesn't get much, still being health and strength to a house full of "crazies".
She said "I do" and I have never been the same. I am amazed that this dream came true. That she is mine. I look at her, and think what everyone else does, "how is she with him?" I listen to her and am awestuck of the depth of a beautiful soul and the fire of a passionate heart. I reach to touch her, still wondering if she really is real or if my hand will go through her and I will finally realize she was just a dream. My hand touches hers and for one more moment she is real, a real woman, a real wife, a real friend in a world of people faking their way through.
I can't believe it's been 10 years. 10 years and still holding my hand. 10 years and still beside me. 10 years and still changing me for the best with her uncomparable love.
10 years, how blessed am I among all of the earth.
